I have recently reinstalled Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro. I am wondering, from the migrant Assistant, where it says to restore apps, can I just select the ones I want to reinstall rather than install ALL of them?

Its funny how Apple is suing for specific design and UI infringements, but Samsung seems to be countersuing for generic items that could possibly not be invented by them.
They are countering with software implementations to hardware, but they don't own the OS so how is Apple use of internal API's, coding, etc. impeding on Samsung's patents?:confused:

This sounds good but here is what i run in to
1. I can fit all the media on my imac ( after 3TB) for streaming via itunes and AirVideo
2. External Drives are not backed-up via time machine
I dont trust the drobo for anything but time machine after my recent close call with it.
I currently do monthly backups to sata drives that sit on a shelf when not in use this is a pain but loosing many dollars of media is worse
Are there dives bigger than 3TB to install on my imac?
I use time machine for my internal drive. And for the media on my external drives I use superduper. There are other similar apps out there. I bought two 2TB drives for this purpose. I tried to set up a RAID with disk utility and it kept crashing during set up and I would have to go through a few steps to recover access to the one drive each time. I realized cloning was the safer bet.
For me, the 2TB will serve my needs until about the time thunderbolt drives are reasonably priced and I'll upgrade speed and size at that point.
I wonder if Apple will allow external drives to be used in this icloud system. They do not allow it for time machine so perhaps they will follow the same pattern.

Those are all phones. By your logic, you prove my point. By your logic there are 10 different iOS devices , are you saying that THEY -"are not the same thing or related in any relative way" ?

It doesn't matter to a potential developer because they know if they release to iOS, it's going to go on ALL iOS products but maybe not all ALL android products. Certainly not to a tablet. Honestly I would have been flattered if asked. But like LBJ, if nominated I would not run, if elected I would not serve (at least at this point). For as evident by my posts over the past few days, my new job and new outlook as to what I find important has changed. In the end I think that active members like myself also serve a purpose, as much as those that are in a mod status.
I am glad that we have a couple EU members as mods in some degree.

Excellent, the Map app is the weakest link of the default iOS apps. The GPS/navigation aspect of it works okay at best. Can't wait to see what progress they've made!

Sounds awesome, but I'll still stick with Camino until Safari speeds up a bit and is more stable. Those were my only two issues.

Hand barake is a great ripping tool but does anyone know of a free app to condense a dvd so that it can fit on a single 4.7 gb dvd?

I'll have my new i7-2600k computer coming online sometime next week after I complete its construction and thorough testing (ahem.. overclocking..). All of the parts for it are arriving today (including the new revised SB motherboard finally!), but except for unfortunately the ram is coming via USPS and is currently in Ontario, CA bound for northern CA so it may be here on saturday but I'm not optimistic. I'm pretty excited for this actually, this will be (relatively speaking) the fastest computer I've ever had.
