Older 27" iMacs feature video-in, you can connect PS3 to it using something like Kanex XD (it is $150 device tho'). 2011 iMac doesn't have such port, but my guess is that you should be able to use TP as video-in. However, that's just my guess. I'd contact Kanex with this kind of question.

To use the G5 as a file server simply requires turing on File Sharing option in System Prefs > Sharing.
Depending on the OS version you can setup file sharing for Mac and Windows. Since the G5 is headless as you said you can also activate the vnc screen sharing which will allow you view and access it over the network. Ideally using wired will provide the best throughput since you will be limited to G (54mbps) speeds.
If your main aim is to share iPhoto and iTunes libraries it might be easier to setup sharing from within the apps themselves, of course iPhoto as far as i'm aware doesn't have a counterpart for Windows which can use Bonjour. That iPhoto encloses the whole library within a packaged file making it more tricky for simple file sharing.

Updated to version 1-1: Final correction. I repositioned the computer display to a better location which I wanted to do for quite a while and I also raised the level of the grids on the floor a little bit cause they were a tad too low.
Now the 3 variants that I did (I did an Apple an Atari and also an Amiga version of this design with different colors and illumination) have the computer display in the same position. These are the updated links (well actually only the direct link to the file in Mediafire changes):

Is anyone using a bluetooth headset with their 4th Gen iPod Touch? Which models work?
I am looking to use it for some Ustreaming and it would be ideal if I could use the mic from a bluetooth headset to provide the audio.
It seems like most of the questions around the forums are for older generations and was surprised to find very little information on the topic.

i like ifile which allows me to play movies and music off of a microsd card (through camera connector) which essentially expands the overall ipad storage space!

What program is that? And yes, I'm also noticing better (i.e. less accelerated) mouse movement in Lion (using Magic Mouse).

I'd like to transfer pictures from my CDMA phone (on Sprint; LG Rumor2) via bluetooth to my ipod touch 3rd gen. I've gotten them to recognize each other, but they don't seem to hold connection. The iPod especially fails to connect. I've gotten to the point of the passkey and each device identifying the other, but that's where it ends.
Anyone have any success with this, LG or otherwise?

Single player mostly. I just find I'd rather be doing something else than playing video games when I'm with a group of friends. Unless it's something interactive like Guitar Hero, haven't tried a Wii yet but I'm sure I'd dig that.

It would have been nice to put OS X on my fairly new 1.3 AMD, or even the 1.6 P4 at work (if nothing else than to save the TORTURE that was my Win98/2000 install from HELL, freakin' M$. Now I can Crash twice as fast!). But we know that won't be happening anytime soon.
Can't wait to get a new Mac to replace my old one (that I no longer have BTW) after I move. Maybe a nice Cool (pun intended) iBook (c'mon 1 GHz G3 + 32 MB vid card), or an eMac to play with untill I can afford a new Tower. Who knows what we'll have by then?

My only comment: it can be kinda noisy because of the fans (and not only the faulty 1st revision), which is some time annoying because it's in front of you, on the desk (instead of under the table, obviously).

If you do a little bit of searing, you can see some pretty cool videos by people using nothing but iPhones, especially the iphone4.
Has anyone here played with the iPhone 4 to do some videos?
I have bought some stuff on eBay such as a wide angle lens and macro lens to play with. I am having a hell of a time trying to find a 15ft or longer 3ring cable extension to attach a external mic to. But once I have that, I'll use another eBay toy to mount it on a small tripod.
Some might wonder why I am bothring with the iPhone as a video tool, but the fact that I can carry a HD camera kit in my shoulder bag is too convenient not to try.
I'll be using it do interviews and creative work.

Please spread the SMP client news (http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=16715&highlight=) far and wide. Oh, did I mention it is SPEEDY and worth your time?! Can you say NATIVE?! I thought so. Now GO! :D
