It might be. But A lot of tech companies out there are very, very averse to risk and are slow to change.
then why does Apple keep terminal which is nothing more than Apple version of command prompt.
Command prompt IT like it because it is simple and straight forward in getting things done they want/need to get done. No special eye candy to jump threw. It does its job. It is not exactly meant to super user friendly to use as those tools are not meant for most people to use in daily lives and if it was put to eye candy it would clutter up menus and make it harder for the average person.
Example of things I use cmd for is when I am testing or creating java programs. It is heck of a lot easier to do javac *****.java followed by java *** to run it.
Or if I just want some basic text or basic output to see if said program is working cmd is just plain better for it. Hell of a lot easier to program output on there than it is to created a gui window and I have to import less crap.
It is not like it is something that would be put in a final product but is much better for testing and programing phases. Also do not forget a lot of tools/ programs do not have any out put so you access threw command prompt.
I know apple terminal is more or less the exact same damn thing.
People who say get read of cmd or terminal to me complete prove they do not understand computers/programing at all. All they understand is a how to point and click and use a computer designed for dummies. cmd is not something a majority of people need but any higher level IT/programing it is a very good tool that should not go away.

Because when he focuses on one device, Apple 'win'.
And when he can't justify that.. he then lashes out on the consumer for buying the product . For example - Kinetic being the fastest selling tech product ever - I think he called consumers something like "MMO loses"...
LOL!
What difference does it make if one Android device outsells the iPhone? Many of the features are in the OS, not the hardware.
Yes.. exactly.
Additionally, one size doesn't fit all... the combination of the hardware and the software.
Want an Android physical keyboard qwerty layout - there's an Android phone for that!

Apple I love you, and I love your products. Ive been pro Apple since 1992
But I wouldnt download this "app" even if you paid me.
I actually might download it if they paid me.

Dont underestimate the power of marketing. They might have this LTE/CDMA combo where the LTE is not all that functional but is there only for the publicity. Think about the splash of the FIRST 4G iPhone!
That would seem very un-Apple like, like somebody said earlier in this thread, they wouldn't allow homescreen background images on two of their phones because of performance issues (which can't be more than a fraction of a second), so why would they allow not fully-functioning LTE capabilities. Apple isn't a company that'll do something just so they can say they did it first, look at multitasking, Steve's quote when they announced it was something like, "we were certainly not the first to do it but we were the first to do it right." In Apple's eyes, if it isn't perfect they won't do it.

Online stores are still having problems. Try reviewing your orders.
store.apple.com is still near crawl levels. It appears you can shop now (the whole system has been sluggish for the past few hours), but at least the products and the deals pages are working. As FC said, the order review still does not work. My errors range from no errors to connection to database problems. Gotta love Thanksgiving!

I meant that supposedly the issue is that women don't feel comfortable having men in the bathrooms because they'll look and stuff. What if instead of men there's a lesbian there? Isn't that the same thing?Only if they are walking around naked. There are still going to be stalls right?

Now I feel really old with all this OS X ten celebrations! Doesn't help that I started with System 6.....
System 7 version for me and my FIRST EVER computer, a Performa 6200CD my friend and I purchased on August 15, 1995 as we were the only two "Thinking Different" in our local CompUSA store at midnight amongst all the exuberant Windows people getting their Windows 95 OS... Then 8.6 with my PowerMac Blue and White G3 tower, then OS X Tiger 10.4 with my FIRST INTEL CHIP IN A MAC EVER, 24" White iMac, and then with my MacBook Air, FIRST LAPTOP EVER, the second gen, with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and iOS 3.2 to 4.3 iPad first gen 3G 64 GB, and maybe iPhone 5, we'll see but definitely looking forward of the further demo of OS X 10.7 Lion... Ah the memories... Thanks again Apple and Happy Birthday, again, OS X. :apple:

Actually its the other way around. Windows 7 has leap frogged apple in terms of functionality, UI and usability.
Apple needs to play catch up by adding some features to OSX.
What are those features?
What is that 'UI'?
What kind of usability?

My computers dedicated for pro digital photography don't require more than ~5GB for the OS and apps, so that would leave 25GB for RAW data. 64SSD would certainly give more breathing room since most sessions are 20GB to 50GB.

If they're going to go with an aluminum design, it should look like this, but maybe with rounded edges:

Looks good, I've been holding out since my first-gen iPhone.
...hopefully we'll see a Summer or Fall release? :)
Wow! You're patient!
he's not the only one still boasting a first-gen iPhone! ;)
I'm still lovin' it!

I think they will announce the iPhone 5 at the WWDC like they usually do.
I think they are feeding the misinformation through their channels so the iphone 4 sales won't slow down.
A 3.7" retina display would be really great.
I'm still using an iPhone 3GS and since I got my iPad 2, I can't stand the low dpi display anymore.

Man, can't believe it's been ten years. As a longtime Mac user, since OS8, I've grown up on OSX. I still remember getting OSX the very first day it launched, and just being BLOWN AWAY with the user interface. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before, especially coming from the old platinum interface of OS9. Even comparing it to Windows 2000, it was just a giant leap. The Aqua bubbles, the high resolution icons, and the sophisticated animations really blew me away. I never went back to OS9, despite the occasional issues with cheetah.
Using the iPhone for the first time is probably the only thing that has compared to seeing OSX for the first time. And I really don't think anything in the future will ever compare again. They were so influential. Especially the aqua bubble design, which has found it's way into just about every other tech companies designs. Almost everything has aqua bubbles now. Adobes logo, Aero in Windows, android, Blackberry, PS3 UI, etc...all these things have representations of aqua.
